1. Science Popularisation/ Awareness Scheme.
The scheme is aimed at Enhancing Public awareness through the conduct of various Science &Technology programmes/ awareness activities across the length and Breadth of the UT of J&K.

06 numbers of science popularization/ awareness events on different topics of S&T were conducted through off-line / on line modes in various colleges / universities of UT. |
2. Technology Transfer Intervention scheme.
The scheme is aimed at Transfer and dissemination of new and relevant Technologies in diverse fields like industry Agriculture, Horticulture, Rural Development, IT, Health and Medical Education. Development Websites/ and user friendly Apps etc.

Design and Development of Official website Completed through NIELIT, GoI and is set for e- inauguration on 22nd of this month. Besides this, transfer of Technology for improving the Health infra in UT, procurement of liquid chromatography Mass spectroscopy (LCMS/MS) through SKIIMS is in process at an estimated cost of Rs 900.00 lacs, out of which an amount of Rs 150.00 lacs have already been advanced in favour Director SKIMS. |
3.Sponsored Research and Extension programme.
The scheme is aimed at promoting and sponsoring of Research projects, scientific studies and surveys in various R&D and Technical institutions of UT.
4.Science Talent Promotion scheme.
The scheme is aimed at encouragement and recognition of scientific talent and Human Resource Development by Awarding Scholarships, Fellowships, Science Awards, etc.
5.Support for Innovation and Patent Filing Scheme.
The scheme is aimed at promotion of innovation and encouragement of novel ideas in sc. and Technology.
6. UT share for Establishment of Bio-Technology Parks Sponsored by DBT, GOI.
The scheme is aimed at strengthening research and infrastructure facilities by way of Establishment of centers of Excellence in the fields of Bio- Technology.
7.UT share for Project K-5000 sponsored by IIM-CSIR- GOI Jammu.
The scheme is aimed at Establishment and Demonstration of Aromatic and Medicinal plant Farms at District Kupwara in the first instance.
8.UT share for Development of land/ site for Sub Regional Science Centre sponsored by Ministry of Culture GOI at Srinagar.
The scheme is aimed at Establishment of Sub Regional Science Centres in UT of J&K.
9.Establishment of Spatial Data Infrastructure (J&K Geo Portal) .
The Project tilted “Establishment of spatial Data Infrastructure (J&K Geo Portal)”,was sanctioned in favour of JK science Technology and Innovation council in the year 2012-13 vide sanction letter No. NRDMS/11/1722/010 dated 07-06-2012 by the Department of Science and Technology (DST)Govt. of India in collaborative mode with the Directorate of Ecology ,Environment and Remote Sensing , Govt J&K, at an initial cost of Rs 241.25 on sharing basis of funds between DST, GOI and JKST&IC in the ratio of 70:30 over a period of Three years. The project cost was revised from time to time by DST GOI in terms of cost and time period, and now the revised project cost stands at Rs 435.15 and time period has been extended up to Marh 2021. Till date DST,GOI has released an amount of Rs 275lakhs out of its share of Rs 304.61(70%) , while as JKST&IC has released 23.75 laks against its share of Rs 130.54 (30%).The project was completed on March 2021.
